Access: This interface should only be accessed by those tasked with administrating the submitted observations.

Filters/Functions

• All buttons to the left at the top of the interface act as filters for the observations in the table underneath. By default, these are New and Pending when logging into the system for the first time.
• All buttons to the right at the top of the interface are additional functions for the user. This includes the MENU button in the top-right.

Definitions

• State:

• NEW CARDS
  • Those cards submitted into the system that have yet to be reviewed or edited in any way.
• OPEN CARDS
  • Those cards input into the system that have been reviewed at least once but left open for subsequent investigation or further review.
• CLOSED CARDS
  • Those cards within the system that have been reviewed and closed. Please note: these cards can be reopened if deemed necessary.

• Type:

• POSITIVE CARDS
  • Those observations submitted to the system seeking to reinforce positive behaviour or correct procedure.
• CORRECTIVE CARDS
  • Those observations submitted to the system seeking to correct/improve behaviour seen as unsafe or acting against procedure.

• Report Status:

• PENDING
  • An observation not yet deemed ready for report to Aberdeen. NEW cards are by default pending, but OPEN and CLOSED cards can be pending too. This status allows cards to be held back from being reported to Aberdeen until they have been properly reviewed.
• REPORTED
  • An observation deemed ready to report to Aberdeen (or already reported). It can be either “Open” or “Closed”. All cards marked “Reported” will be sent to the Aberdeen central database at the daily cutoff (midnight UTC).

• Card of the Week (COW)

• Those cards within the system that have been marked as potential cards of the week. These observations will have been assigned as such by an admin user and can be assigned awards by the rig itself or by HSE in Aberdeen.

• Date:

• Select the desired timeframe of observations you wish to view. This timeframe-filter will affect all of the card category headings outlined above, and presents the following options:
  • Last 24hrs
  • WTD – week to date
  • MTD – month to date
  • YTD – year to date
  • Previous 6 months
  • Previous 12 months

• Export to Excel

• This function exports an excel sheet of all observations within a defined date range. The output is somewhat crude, and will be developed further in due course. Power BI is recommended as a more functional reporting tool, and this should be used as more of a failsafe reporting solution.

• Summary Stats

• An overview of submission figures over three timeframes: 24 Hours; Month-to-date (MTD); and Year-to-date (YTD)
